Well hello there, again! This entry is going to be short and sweet.
This coming Saturday, July 29th, our store is having a 20% storewide sale! Yes, that means that absolutely everything in the store will be 20% off! But it gets even better. If you are a part of our Partnership Program, you get 25% off of everything in the store!
I am particularly excited about this sale because it will be the biggest one that we have this summer, and I’d love to get people out to find things that match their style. And the discounts are great!
In addition, my good friend Dan is holding his Bible study in our store from 6 PM to 8 PM. Any and all are welcome, and we would be blessed for anyone who comes!
Amidst the rainy week we have ahead in Philly, do your best to find joy in the little things no matter what!
Until next time,
The second inventory drop of the summer is here! This time, I was able to bring my sister-in-law and her friend to the store to model all of these pieces of merchandise!
This inventory drop is super exciting for a few reasons. Firstly, this is the second drop we’re able to do for the summer, and that in itself is exciting. But also, this is the first drop that will be accessible in more places than just online! On July 29th, our storefront in Fishtown, Philadelphia will be hosting a 20% off Storewide Sale! The event is open door (no appointment necessary) and we’re also hosting a Bible study from 6 PM to 8 PM!
It would be marvelous to see your faces in our store, or you can shop online! Any support is ABSOLUTELY appreciated!!
Now (finally after all my jabbering), take a look at some of the items in this month’s inventory drop!
Keep your eyes open for some more pieces on our eBay page over the next coming week! Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Recently, I have been praying about always keeping an eternal mindset in everything I do. This includes my home, my family, my friends, and my job. Now as I’m sure you’re already aware, I work for the Mission Shop– a store that seeks to help people in whatever way we can with our profits. This store was birthed out of an eternal perspective, and that didn’t hit me until a couple weeks ago.
Anyone can easily say that being a part of something that seeks to help people is a good thing, because it is! The difference comes when you insert an eternal mindset on the good things you’re doing to help people. It creates a significance to your life that is special and undeniable. I know that my job sells items to give the profits away to those who need it more than we do. And not just domestically, but internationally. But I also know that my job gives more than worldly necessity– it helps to take the Gospel around the world.
Living with an eternal mindset makes everything you do important. God uses this perspective to show us how we are significant in this life, no matter where He has us. Whether you work at a grocery store, or in an office, or as a top executive; God placed you where you are to live with an eternal mindset to help those around you. You might not be able to see the harvest of your labor, but one day, you will. Make it count.
That’s my challenge to you today and this week. Sobering, but so purposeful.
Make it count.
As usual, make sure you check out our eBay and Poshmark listings!

So I asked some of my wonderful friends to come to the Mission Shop location in Fishtown to do some inventory modeling for me. They both look SUPER gorgeous in these items. And the best part? THIS WEEK, these pieces will be going up in our eBay store!! Take a look at this summer’s very first Summer Inventory Drop!
Which ones were your favorites?! Stay tuned for the releases on our eBay page!
Also, my beautiful model friends have outlets for their thoughts that are SO inspiring and uplifting. Check them out here and here!
Our closet is ready– let the summer begin!
The story of why the Mission Shop came to be is one that is amazing and completely watched over by the Lord. I love telling this story– it’s short and sweet.
The Mission Shop was formed out of the burden of a few praying hearts to help others around the world, and at home, much more. These people looked around the world, and wanted to create a means by which we could take funds from selling clothing and fashion items and give the profit to people who need it much more than us.
Hence, the Mission Shop.
These faces. These smiles. These people. They are our why.
We might not be the biggest, fanciest, or prettiest store, BUT at least we know from the bottom of our hearts that what we do makes a difference for the better! I love that this is the basis of the Mission Shop. I love that these people remain at the heart of what we do here. I love that I get to be a part of this, and I am so blessed by it.
If it suits your fancy, check out our eBay and Poshmark sites! I love finding things that suit peoples’ style, and hopefully you’ll find something in our online outlets!
Until next time,
Mission Shop Team
Beginnings are unique. They encase the start of something new while tracking the progress of the journey. That’s what I want this blog to be. The start of something unique, and the journey tracker for everything to come.
My name is Jewell, and I am one of several people that help to run the Mission Shop– a store in Fishtown, Philadelphia that sells women’s clothing, shoes, and bags. We’re working on getting some men’s things into the store, I promise.
There are so many things to love about the Mission Shop, but my favorite one is that we are not just a store that sells items. We sell items to help others. You see, all of the profit that comes from the sales in the store goes to help people in need all around the world.
It is such a blessing to know that every purchase that is made in the Mission Shop goes straight to help people in Mozambique, Brazil, Haiti, and many other places! Click here to check out more of the places we’re working with.
This blog is a journal of the journey that belongs to the Mission Shop– thoughts from within, thoughts from our customers, and thoughts from the many people that we are able to help with the things that sell in this store!
So, as is customary for a first blog post, please follow this blog, shop the outlets, and I hope that the words that fill this website encourage, uplift, and update you on the things that the Mission Shop is privileged to be a part of!
Signing off for the first time,
Mission Shop Team
